Malta 2021 – Stamps on Tokyo Olympics
Malta participated for the very first time in the 1928 Summer Olympics, when a waterpolo team took the challenge in competing abroad with other nationalities.Nowadays, the Olympics are a globalised event with over 200 nations competing. This year the Summer Olympics were held in Tokyo, after being postponed due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Events began on Friday 23rd July ending on Sunday 8th August 2021, attracting over 11,000 male and female participants who will competed in 33 different sports across 339 events with millions of viewers expecting to watch the games.
