Smooth Coated Otter – Special Cover 2021.
Karnataka Postal Circle issued a Special Cover on Smooth Coated otter which is now declared as “Vulnerable” under IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Redlist. The cover was issued on 08 Oct 2021 to mark 67th Wildlife Week. Tungabhadra Otter Conservation reserve near Hampi Karnataka is the first declared Protected area for conservation of Otters in India
