World Aquatics Championships 2024 -Men’s Water Polo – Croatia wins Gold.

The Men’s water polo at World Aquatics Championships was held from 5th to 7th Feb 2024 at Doha , Qatar. Croatia beat Italy 15-13 in a thrilling final at Aspire Dome , Doha. This was Croatia’s third World Title.

A Souvenir sheet was issued by Croatia Post on 20 Mar 2024 to commemorate this victory. The souvenir sheet was issued in cooperation with the Croatian Water Polo Federation. It consisted of three stamps of 1.70 euro each.

Following their fantastic success in Zagreb, where the Croatian national team won a silver medal at the January European Water Polo Championship in Zagreb, the Barracudas brought home the most prestigious prize from the World Championships the following month – gold!

The Croatian flag waved in the capital of Qatar while the Croatian national anthem “Our Beautiful” echoed throughout the stunning Aspire Dome and on small screens in homes around the world.
