Commemorative Stamps India 2026 – Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA)

The Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) is a flagship maternal healthcare initiative launched by the Government of India on June 9, 2016 to provide assured, comprehensive, and quality antenatal care to pregnant women. The programme offers free health check-ups and specialized medical services on the 9th day of every month at designated government health facilities. It places special emphasis on the early detection and management of high-risk pregnancies, helping to improve maternal and neonatal health outcomes. Over the years, PMSMA has played a significant role in promoting safe motherhood and reducing preventable maternal and infant mortality across the country.

A Five Rupees commemorative was released on 09 Jun 2026 to mark 10 years of PMSMA. The stamps were printed by Security Printing press Hyderabad by Wet offset process. Print Quantity – 303060.
