State Flag of Colorado – USA 1976.

The USA issued a set of 50 stamps on State Flags of States of the USA on 23 Feb 1976. We are listing them in Alphabetical order of States name. All stamps are 13 cents denomination. Stamps on 6th State are listed.

Colorado State Flag – The State Flag consists of three equal-sized stripes.

  • The outer stripes are blue in colour as the National Flag.
  • White centre stripe.
  • There is a large semi-circular ‘C’ in red in the centre.
  • In the opening of the letter ‘C’ is a gold disc.

The Colours in Flag represent the environmental features of the state.

  • White symbolizes the snow on her mountains.
  • Gold shows abundant sunshine.
  • Red represents Colorado’s red soil.
  • Blue is a symbol of clear blue skies.
