State Bird and Flower of Kansas – USA 1982.

The USA issued a set of 50 stamps on State Birds and Flowers of States of the USA on 14 Apr 1982. We are listing them in Alphabetical order of States name. All stamps are 20 cents denomination.

State Bird –Western Meadowlark designated as State Bird in 1937. It is a songbird in the family of blackbirds and orioles

State Flower- Sun Flower. It was designated as the state flower in 1903. Sunflower seeds are rich in proteins and yield high-quality vegetable oil.

A First Day Cover is listed, it shows Kansas as the Plains States of USA.
