State Bird and Flowers of Massachusetts – USA 1982.

The USA issued a set of 50 stamps on State Birds and Flowers of States of the USA on 14 Apr 1982. We are listing them in Alphabetical order of States name. All stamps are 20 cents denomination. Stamps on 22nd State are listed.

Massachusetts– State Bird – Black-Capped Chickadee designated as State Bird in 1941.  Member of titmouse family. Also the state bird of Maine.

State Flower- Mayflower. It was designated as the state flower in 1918. Fragrant, delicate Mayflower is on the endangered list since 1925.

First Day Cover is listed, it shows Massachusetts as the New England States of USA.
