South Korea issued a set of four stamps on the traditional cuisine on 15 Jun 2004
The Cuisine featured on stamps are
190 won -Sinseollo – Royal hot Pot is an elaborate dish consisting of Meatballs, mushrooms and vegetables cooked in rich broth. It is in form of elaborate chowder like stew or jeongol.
190 won – Hwayangjeok – .Dish is made with blanched and pan fried bellflower roots,meat , shiitake mushroom , carrot ,eggs , cucumber etc
190 won – Bibimbap- Korean rice dish. Bibim means mixing and bap means rice. It is abowl of warm white rice topped with kimchi ,soy sauce or doenjang.
190 won – Gujeolpan – Refers to an elaborate Korean Dish consisting of nine different foods assorted on a wooden plate with nine divided sections in an octagonal shape or plate itself. Gu means nine , jeol means section and pan means plate.
